Yikes!! Warrant issued for Espn analyst Jeremy Green
Warrant details contact between Jeremy Green, undercover cop
Posted by Michael David Smith on July 24, 2010 11:35 AM ET Authorities in Connecticut have released the arrest warrant for former NFL scout and ESPN analyst Jeremy Green, and they reveal disturbing information about the online chats Green allegedly took part in. The details reported by the Hartford Courant are, frankly, disgusting. They suggest that Green thought he was chatting with a woman who was offering up her own children to be sexually abused. He was actually chatting with a police officer. According to the Courant report, Green shared sexually explicit photos and videos of a toddler and encouraged the person he thought was a mother of three to bring her children to Connecticut. The police officer was a detective working with the Sheriff's Department in Forsythe, Missouri. Their online chat led to Green's arrest at a Connecticut motel. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...ndercover-cop/ |

Sure, I guess it can happen naturally, but it sure seems like this type of behavior is highly correlated with being abused the same way in the past by a parent or other trusted adult. Who cares though really, hopefully this piece of shit just does everyone a favor and kills himself. Waste of oxygen. |

ESPN Analyst Jeremy Green Placed On Suicide Watch After Child Porn Charges Ugh. Jeremy Green, former ESPN football analyst and son of former NFL coach Denny Green, has been placed on suicide watch after being charged with first-degree possession of child pornography in Connecticut. Green was fired from his job as a TV analyst on ESPN after he was arrested on July 8th in a Connecticut motel. In addition to the child porn accusation, Green also faces charges for possession of narcotics and use of drug paraphernalia. The Hartford Courant also reported details from Green’s arrest warrant, and they are predictably awful. Green participated in an online chat with a woman with the very creepy screen name of lendingmom12, then “shared sexually explicit photos and videos of a toddler, and told the woman he was chatting with that he ‘couldn’t wait for her to bring her three children to Connecticut.’” The woman, it turns out, was from the Missouri County Sheriff’s Department. Missouri County soon tracked down Green with help from Bristol police. Bristol, Connecticut police (Bristol is the home of ESPN headquarters) were brought into the loop on July 2, and Green was arrested at a Holiday Inn Express after police tracked his activities from a nearby residence to the hotel. His girlfriend was also in the room, along with laptop computers, flash drives, and an unspecified amount of cocaine. Green’s court-appointed attorney is trying to get his bond of $750,000 lowered, according to the report. The fact that he has a court-appointed attorney at all may mean that Dennis Green, who had a long and financially fruitful career as an NFL coach, isn’t willing to help his extremely troubled son.

I agree. Why is that so difficult for everybody else to understand? Was my explanation that whacked? I hate pedophiles and think they should have their junk twisted off the moment they're caught and convicted - all of them. But when you molest somebody you're supposed to love and protect, it's a much larger breach of trust than if you pay a stranger for her kids. In that hypothetical, the mother would be the worst one in my mind.

I submit that there's a deeper dynamic when you're talking about somebody who is supposed to be in that child's circle of protectors. Have you ever known somebody who "survived" incestuous pedophilia? They're broken in a lot of different ways but they can't completely trust again. I'm not diminishing the act for other victims. Neither is desirable, obviously but when it's family I think there's an extra miserable corner of hell reserved for those offenders.
