Draft talk time....

At 6 and 10 we will probably draft between 6th or 12th. A.J. Hawk out of OSU would be nice but he might go earlier then that. So do we trade up to get Matt L. or just go best left tackle?

Wow get prepaired to get flammed for this topic.

But I'm with ya so I'll say.

1st - Best Tackle avaliable.

2nd - Best Guard avaliable to replace Will when he retires. Perhaps Tackle again becuase we need 2 of em.

3rd - WR and some FA WR pickup.

DON'T take any mid-draft WRs, please. If we're not going to get a good guy in the first round, I don't want to see any receiver drafted by us. We have enough Snoop Minnises, Samie Parkers, and Craphonso Thorpes on this team, thank you very much. We don't need more.

Linemen, reciever, QB, I'd be fine with any of those.

I really like Jay Cutler out of Vandy for a mid-round QB.

That said, if we finish 6-10, I'm going to kick my cat.

What the **** are you guys smoking... We will finish 8-8 or 9-7 out of the playoffs and out of a good spot in the draft... That is our m.o., Our teams are always good enough not to suck horribly...

Welbourne can play guard when Shields goes. There's really isn't a reason to draft one that early.....

Yea I mght take heat, but if it makes a differance I've been saying 6 and 10 since before the season started. As for the draft I think it's time to make a big move. We are not going to sniff the playoffs untill at least 2008(if we are lucky) so why not move up and draft Lienart(spelling?)(not a big usc guy)...or,I don't think they trade with us, try and make a move for Rivers.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

a) We're not going 6-10

b) We don't need AJ Hawk or any Linebackers

c) I'd prefer a DT like Ngata if we did draft defense

b) If we go offense, it needs to be OT or WR

OT-Eric Winston. Marcus McNeill, or Jonathon Scott

DT - Rodrique Wright or Hatoli Ngata

I believe KC will be in #14-#20 range when draft time comes around.

In FA- OG-Chad Hutchinson

We really don't need a guard. Welbourn will be fine once we finally put him at his correct position.

We need two tackles.

We won't be in any position to draft the two big-time NFL QB prospects - Croyle and Leinart.

I agree.

Retirements will play a big role in the offseason as well.

QB's can be found in the later rounds.
