Watched this probably 3 months ago, and while it wasnt exactly what I wanted it was still a pretty decent glimpse into the office of an amalgam NFL GM.

I agree with this on all points. I was actually surprised that I enjoyed it.

And I think the baseball thing just works better with movies. Hard to explain what I mean there.

I didn't think it was good. The pregnant girlfriend subplot was dumb. The bitter mom relationship was underdeveloped or just shoehorned into the overall story. "Any Given Sunday", though flawed, is much better. Denis Leary as an NFL coach? Maybe when Todd Haley becomes a head coach...er. wait...
