Official 2012-2013 NBA Thread

Looks like James Harden has been To the Rockets for Jeremey Lamb, Kevin Martin and future picks. Plus... this is a general NBA thread.

Id let Bosh shoot. For the life of me I couldnt understand why the Bulls kept jumping at Bosh's shot fake. Let him shoot! He was like 4-13 from the field

I liked watching Bowen play defense.

Jordan was drafted. Pippen was essentially drafted, as Krause worked a trade for him after falling in love with him and swapping him with Seattle for Olden ****ing Polynice. Kukoc was drafted...and so on.

Paxton, Armstrong were like that as well. The second team had more FA role players like Kerr, Longley, Ron Harper...
I'm 42 and was a Bulls fan from Jordan's rookie year. I'm well aware of the construction. A super team is a super team. I'll agree that Jordan had less early on than Lebron does now, but the second 3 peat was a pretty loaded roster. As were Shaq and Kobe's Lakers. I think how you get there is irrelevant as long as you make it work. The Heat have a long damn way to go to be talked about with those teams.

I understand the LeBron hatred. His bullshit when the team was formed rubbed me as wrong as anyone. I respect what they've done and the streak is impressive regardless of era. Basketball then and now is night and day.

Yeah, but he's a really good shooter from 12-18 feet. Tonight isn't indicative of his touch.

No but you take your chances with his shooting rather than going for the fake and letting him drive to the hoop

I agree. Like I told KCC, I was talking about the difference in construction more than anything. Miami was put together like a 2002 USA Basketball team.

The Heat despite the streak aren't unbeatable. There are teams that will give them problems. Unfortunately the Thunder aren't one

God i wish the Thunder would beat them but no one can take them in a 7 game series. The Mavs did because it was their first year

The whole game i kept saying foul hard. Dont give them their transition game. Make them earn it. If Rose comes back and the bulls can for once be healthy. They'll face the heat in the playoffs.

Rose
Noah
Hamilton
Belinelli

That's 4 of the top 7 (maybe 8) players that are out, and arguably the top 2. If they ever get completely healthy, they are going to be good. But i doubt they get completely healthy this year.

The Celtics and Bulls style definitely give the Heat problems, but both rosters are destroyed by injuries. San Antonio, Indiana and Memphis are the teams that matchup best. Still think the Heat survive anyone with home court.
