***Official Draft Tyler Wilson Thread****

...might as well get this started early.

Perhaps his injury well allow him to slip to the middle of the of the 1st round,..where we tend to draft.

So by "any analyst with half a brain" you mean just Kiper...

I can't think of anyone else that has come out and said no QB is worth a 1st round pick.

There is "reaching" and then there is suicide. This is far beyond reaching. What is hard to understand is why people aren't happy about the news that they might not go in the top half of the first? I hope we can get the best player at #1 and then get EITHER Geno or Wilson.

Also, the way some of you guys think Geno fits Reid's system better than Wilson is way off imo. I think all of that will come out in the next couple of months. I don't think some really understand Reid's system at all and I'll leave it at that.
Again, it is FAR too soon to assume any of this.

The Combine is still almost 4 weeks away. Then the pro days and private work outs begin in March.

The only possible QB that would go #1 is Smith. When you look at 99% of the boards, not mocks, there isn't another QB with a top 30 grade. Maybe Glennon slips in on occasion, but I just don't see it at all with him.

Quote:
The 2013 rookie quarterback class is wide open. Ask five NFL draft analysts for their favorite players in the class, and you might get five different answers. There even have been suggestions that no signal-caller will be drafted in the first round.

NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock advises against that logic.

"It's early in this entire process," Mayock said during NFL Network's Senior Bowl coverage. "Everyone says there's no Andrew Luck, there's no Robert Griffin III. ... I guarantee you by the time we get to April, there will be three to four quarterbacks taken in the first round, and most of them are coming out of this game."

Mayock's words are surprising, but they shouldn't be. Christian Ponder, Jake Locker, Ryan Tannehill and Brandon Weeden all were taken higher than analysts expected in April, much less in late January. Colin Kaepernick and Andy Dalton also almost rose to first-round status and were hardly viewed as sure-fire top picks early in the process.

The point here: Projections from draftniks at this stage of the process aren't worth much. The NFL's decision-makers don't know where these guys will land, so we definitely don't know from the outside. And Mayock pointed out that the emphasis on the quarterback position naturally will make some of this year's promising crop go early.

Among those top Senior Bowl quarterbacks Mayock talked about were N.C. State's Mike Glennon, Arkansas' Tyler Wilson, Miami of Ohio's Zac Dysert and Syracuse's Ryan Nassib.

It's hard to say who will be drafted first out of this group. But don't be surprised if most of them go in Round 1.

I agree that it's early but, I don't put much into the combine or pro days. Pro Days are great for guys that injuries and that's about it imo. The combine is about drug tests, the wonderlic, and interviews to me.

Like me, you can think what you want to about it. I was just giving my opinion on that post you quoted. I am moving forward on the idea that KC will not take a QB with the first pick. I have had serious doubts that they ever would and now I am comfortable saying it. I could change my mind. Everyone does during this process. For example, Sorter was in love with Dysert and now he is backing off. I didn't have TJ McDonald rated as high as some and now I'm seeing it. We all need to be thorough and open minded throughout the next few months imo.

Perfect scenario.....Chiefs trade down and still draft Tyler Wilson w/ 1st rd pick and pick up another 2nd and 3rd.

1. QB-Tyler Wilson
2. OL-Barrett Jones
2. DB-Xavier Rhodes
3. WR-Da'Rick Rogers
3. DE-Margus Hunt
3. QB-Landry Jones
4. WR/KR-Denard Robinson
5. RB-Marcus Lattimore
6. CB-Tyrann Mathieu
7. OG-Blaize Foltz
7. NT-Montori Hughes

FA
QB-Josh Freeman (Chiefs fan/KC ties)
WR-Greg Jennings (Dorsey ties)
FS-Jarius Byrd (This would be huge, but BUF may tag him)
CB-Sam Shields or DRC (Both Dorsey/Reid ties)

Also, who is trading up? For which player?

Where do you get this shit?

None of the QBs have a 1st round grade? Just based on this thread ALONE, we know that at least Wilson has a first round grade.

And you wonder why people think you're a mongoloid...

Josh Freeman isn't gonna get traded to us, just stop this crap. If he did, he would want a starter salary/contract...if you give him that, you aren't drafting a QB in the high first.

How many more of these crapfests are we gonna be subjected to?

Can you give us a ballpark?

Because this is hilariously stupid.

No dude, that wasn't my intent whatsoever and I think you are reading me wrong. I was being genuine there. I'm not trolling. Seriously, several analysts have said they don't have a first round grade on any qb in this class. For what it's worth, Kiper, Mayock, and Charles Johnson have all said it. I posted that they the NFL Network guys said it Tuesday during the South practice. You can take it how you want. I am with them. I don't have a first round grade on any of these QBs. I am not taking an analyst seriously who has KC taking a QB with the #1 pick. That's just my opinion.

Note that just because they don't have a first round grade it doesn't mean they won't go in the first round. QBs have the most value and are reached on more than any other position. Again, I am happy thinking they will drop. it's in our best interest imo.
