I remember as a young boy watching his specials with my Mom and Dad. Mom really liked him and he helped the Osmond family get their start.
He was also involved in a crazy murder story with his ex-wife and skier "Spider" Sabich where he really helped her. Cool guy just like Bing Crosby and part of the dying generation most 20-30 year olds never got to watch.

RIP Andy. As others have mentioned I was never a fan, but that is no condemnation, the Christmas specials were very popular.
One of the last stars left from Dad's generation. Dean Martin was my favorite of that era. |
