ANyone else still want to TANK the season for a better draft pick?

Say the words, and join my ignore list:

"we should tank this season for a better draft pick"

*************************
Let this thread stand as a testimony to traitors
and cowards who, at a time of peril , chose to
abandon the fight and wish upon our great, and
holy Chiefs, to lose games and give up the fight.

By shunning them and making their words vanish
from the computer screen, we say unto them:

WE WILL WIN

We have not given up the will to fight. We are not
sackless, gutless weasels who run crying home to
mama to suck on her stretched out floppy teet
when times get rough.

We shun you, and your words are now gone from
our lives, never to waste our time or energy again.
We acknowledge that your only purpose is to troll,
and cause disharmony, and therefore the best way
to deal with you is to banish you from the pages of
history.

I disagree. Those who feel this way are wiling to sacrifice short-term "pain" for the hope of long-term joy.

Yup, it is as if the season is just preparation for the draft, and the point of the league is the draft. They have things ass backwards.

No, they are just losers. Losers want to lose. Losers want their team to quit. Losers.

That's fine. I suppose that the same could be applied to those who not only accept mediocrity, but apparently root for it as well.

All those winless seasons suuure have worked out great for the Oakland Raiders. You don't need a shitty record to have a good draft or to acquire an elite QB.

I root for my team to win. Every game. I have for more than 40 years. I will never, ever, root for my team to lose. There is no point in being a fan if you want to lose.

If you REALLY REALLY REALLY want a high 1st round QB you dont HAVE to tank your season. Just look at Washington.

I wouldn't do it, but it is an option.

This. Oakland, Cleveland, and several perennial losers prove that losing doesn't lead to winning. And NE, Green Bay, etc., prove that winning doesn't keep you from acquiring good players. Green Bay got Aaron Rogers when they still had Bret Favre and were a winning team.

Everyone wants the team to win. The difference is some people want to win the Super Bowl and know the team as currently built can't/won't do that.

For me personally, I have 20-30 more years before I'll be willing to accept changes to the way I think in hopes of maybe winning a playoff game by then. It's only been 20 years here, that's CLEARLY not long enough for me to see that the way KC has been doing it is all wrong.

No matter pissed off I am, no matter how much I know this franchise needs to make some serious changes, on game day you will find me rooting for a win. I do not have it in me to pull for my team to lose.

That being said, the OP is reeruned.

What if I simply don't care if they lose? What if I don't WANT them to lose but am fine if they do?

The problem here is that you're attacking your fellow fans when all they're guilty of is CARING ABOUT THE TEAM.

That's ridiculous dude.
