***Official Knowmo2724 homer-2000 thread***

Very few non-bronco fans can tolerate him. he creates inane threads that are homeristic in nature (his avatar is very apropos), and nobody loves him (not even his own mother)

'face, this can be the home for all knowmo threads so we aren't treated to the bi-weekly steaming 'presents' left by the front door.

When things are going well, Peyton is the best QB to ever play the game. When adversity strikes, he's just a guy.

The team is way too streaky right now for me to expect too much greatness... slow starts, spotty defense early, etc. I'm just going to reset expectations and try to enjoy the season. I've got too much going on to stress about this on a weekly basis.

Please enlighten us as to how the Donkeys are "the best team in the div"
The Chargers haven't played anybody but the Falcons and they got obliterated at home by them.

The Chiefs are a non factor this year.

The Raiders are a non factor this year.

Denver has the most talented team in the division across the board. Best WR's, best OL, best QB, good TE group, good running game, best passrush, best secondary, will have the best LB's once DJ Williams gets back, very good Special Teams.

We have it all. And we are just going to get better as the season goes on. Bill Polian said that Denver's offense will be hitting on all cylinders by week 6 or so. The toughest part of our schedule is over and we were in every game we played against 3 playoff teams.

I agree with Whitlock for the first time ever. Manning has to throw so hard that he's unable to deliver with the accuracy he's accustomed to. In the second half, I counted three picks that were dropped by the defense, and all three were situations where the ball simply either took too long to get there, or it wasn't where it needed to be. Face it, his arm is about 60% of what it once was. He's still good because he is so damn smart at reading the D. Here is the donks problems as I see it. First off, they want to run the no huddle, but Manning is the only one capable of doing it. If it is loud or the D is moving around alot, the other guys aren't on the same page. I agree that manning is now just a guy. He's better than T-bag, but he's not taking them to the superbowl. AND, he's gonna be 37 this year. I actually like the guy, and hope he doesn't hang on too long. He got absolutely pummelled on two sacks yesterday, and one of them had his head jam right into the turf. As much as I hate the donks, I really don't want to see a guy of Mannings class go off on a stretcher.

Denver starts the season off with 3 out of 4 home games. If the Raiders beat them, that ship is going to implode.

I don't think it will happen. Denver played some good teams and nearly won.

Offensively we need to learn how to catch. Especially Decker. I bet half of Manning's incompletions were drops. I thought Manning's throws had plenty of zip today. He looks great. It is clear that our offense isn't fully on the same page yet.
How about the 5 dropped picks (including 2 that would have been pick 6s) that Manning threw?

They're 0-2 against two teams that are 6-0 and they defeated the 1-2 Steelers. It's been a weird start to the season, but there really is no shame in losing to the Falcons on the road or the Texans anywhere to be honest.

The defense has played very poorly in the first half of the last two games, then they've started to settle in a bit too late. Same with the offense in both games. They're not exactly on the same page yet, which is to be expected despite what any of the fans said in the past.

They've been in spot to win both of the last two games... that's a positive, but they need to fix what has hurt them in the first 30 minutes of the last two games.

Peyton may only be 75% of what he used to be... but, I'll still take him over most. That being said, he and the receivers need to get on the same page. And, the freaking offensive penalties are killing them in key situations.

1-2 vs the Steelers, Falcons and Texans isn't the worst thing in the world, but the road doesn't get any easier really. Buckle up.

Why are you just going to get better as the season rolls along? What kind of bullshit line of thinking is that? What guarantee do you have that you get better? How do you know the toughest part of the schedule is over? How the **** do you know what teams will be hot and what teams won't?

I'm sorry there's no guarantees with your Broncos no matter how much you want to post on here that you're so confident that they are going to be in the AFC title game when it's ****ing Week 3.

Your dismissal of the Chiefs is cute though.

Oh and while I'm at it, here's something you haven't posted from Twitter yet you dick.

One veteran NFL scout observed to NFL Network's Albert Breer Sunday night that Peyton Manning "can't throw the ball anymore."
The stats are okay (5:3 TD-to-INT ratio, 60 percent completion rate, 7.2 YPA), but far off Manning's usual standard. He's been inconsistent in terms of velocity and deep passing ability. Added ESPN's Ron Jaworski, "When I see the ball coming out of his hand, what I see is a little wobble on it. That’s not what you want to see. We like to see that thing spinning really nice, tight on a spiral." The Broncos face a brutal Raiders pass defense in Week 4.

Things like this confuse me. Manning never threw perfect spirals. Did that get erased from the collective consciousness?
