Marv Levy is incredibly smart, affable, pleasant, gentlemanly and knows football inside and out.

To hold his age against him is pretty silly. He's there to be Wilson's right hand man in rebuilding an organization that has crumbled into a very sorry state. I don't see any reason why he's not a perfectly fine candidate for doing that.

Been busy.

Actually, though, I like Herm Edwards. He's at least an average NFL coach, IMHO. In the rankings of all NFL coaches that someone had on another thread, I'd put him at 11th. He's in that 11-15 category, anyway, IMHO.

I do think, however, that he is a Marty/Dungy/Cowher guy who isn't likely to get it done in the playoffs. That's a big strike against him, of course.

I ran into Coach Levy a while back (he lives in my neighborhood) and he sure doesn't look or act like he's 80 years old. He's still healthy and sharp as hell.
