**** Official North Carolina vs Kansas Game Thread ****

Game time: 4:20pm CST.
As a KU fan I have no ill will toward Roy. At the same time, I hope KU demolishes UNC today.

Here is a part of Roy's press conference. I still admire the guy and his respect for KU hoops.

I think it is very good KU has a tough tournament schedule. Win or GTFO is my thinking.

Not IMO. Bill is much much more consistent. FFS, he's had 30 wins 6 of the last 7 seasons. That's astronomical. It seemed like, at least when Roy was in KU, he'd take a year off periodically. Probably still applicable with this year and the year he went to the NIT.

Big thing is Roy's teams are soft. Bill's teams typically can't put up points like Roy's teams, but they are ****ing tough.

Doesn't matter. NBA drafts on potential, unlike the NFL. McLemore has a ****assload of it. I quit thinking kids should stay when Julian Wright got drafted high after his soph year. He was awful. Couldn't shoot outside of 15 feet, had no strength and really not much for post moves. I thought there was no way he should go. But the fact is the NBA is different.

We've done it. 2009. 2011. And even in lean years, we still do well. I mean we STARTED Conner Teahan last year and went to the championship game. Conner Teahan. Roll that around in your head a minute. Conner Teahan.

I remember Wright's game against UCLA in the tournament, and thought about it the other night after McLemore's 18th turnover.

Hopefully McLemore responds like EJ did in Ames and goes off next week, but I'm not getting my hopes up, playing at midfield in the Jerry dome.

Yeah. Definitely.

I will say I was impressed with McAdoo (Sp?). I thought he was pretty overrated before, but he was pretty heady to go along with his athleticism.

Bill Self's Kansas teams have been to the Sweet 16 7 of his 10 years.

I'd call that pretty consistent.

Im definitely proud of the way UNC fought. Way undersized. Have to run a small lineup while our young big guys develop and settle in

What? You have to be joking...he was terrible. Apparently he thinks he can shoot mid range jumpers. He cannot, ask any UNC fan, but he continues to shoot them. I laughed everytime he put one up. Guy went like 5 of 20 and Withey manhandled him for boards. If I was a UNC fan I would hope he is foolish enough to declare so you dont have to put up w him next year.

Maybe I'm remembering him wrong, but he got several OReb and did some things in open court. I probably just had an undue hate from the knob slobbering he got from Vitale one game.

I.

HATE.
