I didn't realize this game was today until I looked at the schedule about 15 minutes ago..lol Oh well nice game for the Spurs and here I was going to predict Memphis winning the series in 6.

As far as the other series as I correctly predicted the Pacers were much better than the Knicks and won in 6. The Pacers are the best defensive team in the NBA but I think their lack of scoring options is going to be their downfall. My heart tells me the Pacers could win the series but my head is telling me the Heat will, probably in 6.

"We're not just another team," James said. "I don't understand what he's saying. But we're not just another team. That's not true. He said we're just another team in their way. We're a great team. If we're just another team, you really don't prepare for just another team. You have to prepare for us."

LeBron getting more and more sensitive when he doesn't need to be. He's been really defensive this year

, Lepuss. What was Vogel supposed to say? "Welp, since they are a "great team" we're just going to forfeit. Someone get Stern on the horn, we're surrendering our post?" I'm pretty sure most teams in the PS are decent and require some sort of preparation.

If some imagined slight helps LeBron and the Heat get more motivated than the first 2 series, great. They'll be better off for it.

It's not a slight on Memphis. They're a good team and they'd have deserved to have gone. But let's be real. They beat a pretty immature Clippers team, a banged up Thunder team, and an old Spurs team. It's actually somewhat a commentary about how bad teams in the NBA have been this year... in general. This has to be one of the least talented group of NBA teams I've seen in a while.

Just this year? He has a history of getting riled up about stupid things.

That being said... I don't think Vogel meant it in the way LeBron interpreted it, but it wasn't a smart thing to say.

Meh. I don't pay attention to the off-court motivating factors. You could easily spin LeBron's comments to favor Indiana. It's a slap in the face when your opponent has an expectation of being acknowledged as great.

I normally agree, except when it's a team that wins without even trying sometimes. One of the ways to beat the Heat is to sneak up on them a little. Having them foaming from the first tip of the series isn't going to help.

if he says nothing he us too passive and didn't have that competitive spirit a guy like Jordan had. He says something and people try to bash him.

The difference between LeBron and MJ is that LeBron gets upset when people challenge his greatness to stroke his ego. MJ got upset because he couldn't stand losing.

I don't see LeBron getting riled up over this. On the plus side, he's not going to let anger negatively affect his game. On the negative side, Jordan would never let that kind of comment slide without upping his game than jamming it down your throat. LeBron will play the same game as if Vogel never made the comments.

I was saying for Indiana's sake. I didn't think it would affect him negatively.

Hopefully he gets that killer instinct and pulls an mj

I don't see LeBron ever pulling an MJ. It's just not his nature. He might go on a tear because he's good at basketball, but not because he was motivated by comments from a guy like Vogel.

If you made that comment to MJ, he would demand the ball, dominate the game, then glare at Vogel. That's not what LeBron does and I don't think he develops that this late in his career.

Nothing to see here, really. LeBron isn't going to play any different, better or worse, because of comments Vogel made. I do agree it was stupid to say it, though. Possibly because Vogel knows LeBron isn't going to up his game based on comments, but he has at times pressed too hard to try to prove himself.

There was nothing wrong with what Vogel said or what LeBron said. LeBron will go out and dominate the game of basketball to the same historic extent that he usually does and it will cease to be an issue.
