They should have never killed Maul. He was one of the most ***ass underdeveloped villans of all time. Instead of introducing the other undeveloped and un-intimidating Old Dooku, Maul could have been the main antagonist all the way until Ep. III

Cool. No matter what anyone thinks of the prequels, that entire Maul/Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon fight ranks right up there with the best moment in any of the movies.

I realize that I'm in the minority when it comes to the adult Star Wars crowd, but I really, really enjoyed The Phantom Menace, infinitely more than Return of the Jedi.

Liam Neeson's character was exactly how I had long imagined Jedi Knights of the Republic to look, behave and act. He was note perfect, IMO. Darth Maul was a very cool and menacing Sith and I enjoyed watching Palpatine/Sidious' machinations.

The look of the movie is very warm (it was shot on film, then transferred) and the score, IMO, is amongst the best ever by John Williams. How he seamless transitions the end title into Darth Vader's Theme is absolutely brilliant.

The lowlights were of course Samuel L. Jackson and too much Jar Jar Binks. Other than that, I don't have much negative to say.
