Peanuts was outstanding.
One of my favorite 4 panels is CB and Linus sitting silently on a curb. CB is obviously distraught in the first three panels. In the fourth he shouts! "Oh Why couldn't Willie McCovey have hit that ball just three feet higher"!!? A reference to the 62 series when, in the 9th inning of game 7, McCovey hit a scorching line drive right at Bobby Richardson at 2nd base with Matty Alou and Willie Mays on 2nd and 3rd to end the World Series. I know how that feels. |

The snowmen are just amazing. I wish I could the images posted by Hawk.
I must have started reading those when I was 6 or 7 years old and read through each book multiple times throughout the years. I still have all of the original books, but after years of being read and sitting in the bathroom they really did deteriorate. |

I do like Zits now but that's probably because both of my sons are teenagers now and the strip tends to ring true. By the way, did anyone else, when reading Calvin and Hobbes, kind of get a pang of sadness when they would show Hobbes as just a stuffed tiger? |

I just watched this documentary. It was really cool to hear all the perspectives from other artists. There was quite a bit of talk about the fact that Watterson refused to license his characters despite the fact that Hobbes was the most perfect character for licensing.

My 7 year old is now into Calvin and Hobbes. It makes great bedtime reading together.
