The only problem I have with Apple products is pricing. iMacs are ridiculously overpriced. So are iPods.

Yep. Was playing with my boss' iPad yesterday. I just can't get past the whole 32gigs or so of max storage, or whatever they have, and no usb ports for additional storage. I just can't see buying a larger iPhone to use as a tablet CPU. I have an iPhone. I need more out of a tablet. I haven't really researched enough to know what options you have for storage as far as the iPad, but if 64 gigs is all I can put on it, it's not gonna work for me.

Supposedly the reason for the minor changes in the iPad2 is that they're releasing a new model in September. With a "retina display", etc. Apple denied the rumor, naturally.

I built a hackintosh a few months back, and it kicks ass. Built what would be a $2500 mac for about $800 bucks.

Got a quad core in it, at 3.2Ghz, and 16 gigs of Ram.

That is the main reason why their laptop and desktop market share is so low

Why would you want to store your data ON the device, where it's not available from any other device?

How small does it need to be?

Bob Dole plays music in the car from the 1TB drive connected to his home PC via the bluetooth link between the car stereo and his iPhone using http://maestro.fm

Of course, Bob Dole remembers when an external 5 megabyte hard drive was a luxury...

That is pretty interesting. My truck has a line -in that I just plug my Captivate or Ipod in and I use that. Works great

Apple's hardware is just fine compared to the Xoom, Playbook, and Touchpad. The iPad has an LED-backlit IPS LCD. The other 3 do not. ipad 1 starts at $400, ipad 2 starts at $500. iPad has sold over 10+ million units. How are they a failure or failed? This makes absolutely no sense. The app store kicks the crap out of Android Market.

Just as you elaborated on future specs, the iPad will improve on specs with future versions.

Will the Android tablets be heavily subsidized like the phones were? Probably not. So go out and buy a Xoom for $800
