EDIT: Sean Taylor shot, has died

Apparently fighting for his life after being shot during a home invasion.

Even if Taylor had been an asshole in his past, and a dirty player in his career, it doesn't mean he was doing anything wrong at this time. It sounds like he was doing alot better and trying to be a responsible family guy. People can change.

Regardless, if he's in his home which had been broken into recently, it makes perfect sense that he might have something to protect his family with.(especially if he didn't have a gun due to previous infractions).

He wasn't in a strip club, he wasn't in the hood at a party, he wasn't in a seedy part of town, he wasn't in a club with a bad element.....the man was in his bed, with his woman and child.

Its a shitty thing that this guy is dead. I hope his family finds peace, and the police find all of the guilty.

there was a number of days between DT's crash and his death. He was sitting up in bed and talking to people, i believe.

I dont know if these interesting facts to the murder of Taylor have already been posted, but anyway....
-Eight days ago someone broke in the house and a knife was left on the bed, nothing was taken or stolen.
-On the day of the shooting the murderer did not take anything from the house.
-Taylor was shot in the crotch area.
-The day of the shooting the phone lines were cut causing more delay than normal for his fiancee to contact much needed help.


Personally I wonder if it was perhaps a jealous provoked murder concerning his fiancee.

Pulmonary embolism. Deadly as hell and nearly impossible to prevent unless you are massive amounts of blood thinners like Heparin or Coumadin. Of course if you nearly just bled out, it is highly unlikely you'd be on those.

Oh....if Taylor had chopped up a home intruder....I'd have thought he was well within his rights to protect his family. Unlike Mcann, Jettio and co, I think he had that right.

Its really unfortunate that the home owner got the worst end in this situation. Anyone should be safe while sleeping in their own home.

My condolences to his family. In this situation, it is a tragedy that the child no longer has a productive father in his life.

I hope they catch the guilty and they ride the lightening.

That's what got my father. He was at the doctor's office, of all places, felt dizzy, sat down, then they had him put his legs up and then he died.

Columnists are opinionated by nature, but nearly all sports columns contain no source of reporting as the basis for their speculation, exaggeration and opinion.

Journalists work under the codes of ethics by their employer. Therefore, I was surprised and disappointed two Washington Post sports columnists, Leonard Shapiro and Michael Wilbon, have used free speech and freedom of the press, to strongly believing that Sean Taylor being murdered in his bedroom got what he deserved.
