Bob Dole has been thinking this for quite some time, and still isn't sure if Bob Dole can express it (or if it's even on-target), but it seems that the NFL's overtime system is a bit silly.
Bob Dole hasn't found the statistics, but it appears that the Raider-49er game yesterday fell into the 5% of OT games that was not won by the toss-winning team on the initial possession. If Bob Dole's impression is correct, and the toss-winning team does win the game nearly all the time, why not just have a coin toss and declare the team that wins the game winner? |
