A mock in the spirit of Direckshun

Assumptions:

1) KC resigns Albert to a long term deal.
2) KC trades Tamba Hali to the Saints for their first and third round picks.
3) KC gets a third round compensatory pick for Carr and pick 3.31 back from the 9ers as part of the Smith trade.

1.1 Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
I think we have beaten this horse.

1.15 Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
Long live the tradition of Chiefs drafting first round LSU defensive linemen. But seriously, this guy has elite upside.

3.1 Datone Jones, DE, UCLA
Datone would make an interesting project as a one-gap defensive end in a 3-4 and appears to be able to put on the extra 15 or so pounds it would take to do so.

3.15 Jonathon Franklin, RB, UCLA
I love this kids vision and acceleration. I think he will be a surprise. He also catches extremely well out of the backfield and would make an excellent mesh with the Andy Reid offense.

3.31 DJ Swearinger, SS, South Carolina
I'm not sure why Swearinger seems to be flying under the radar, but if he is available here, we should pounce. He is quite well-rounded but will likely draw flags in the NFL. I can live with it, provided he sufficiently punishes receivers for trying to come across the middle.

3.COMP Nico Johnson, ILB, Alabama
This isn't a sexy pick, but the guy is exactly the type of player we need at ILB.

4.2 Joe Kruger, DE, Utah
This guy actually lived up to Sac's billing at the combine. An impressive combination of size and athleticism with excellent arm length.

5.1 Marcus Davis, WR, Virginia Tech
This guy has all the tools and is surely worth taking a chance on in the later rounds.

6.2 Caleb Sturgis, K, Florida
Succop is just so... average. Time for some fresh blood.

7.1 Rod Sweeting, CB, Georgia Tech
Late round flyer on a guy who is likely to win coaches over with his interview.

You are such a ****ing troll. Doom is a full two months younger than Hali, has a worse contract, and has been less productive than Hali. Not to mention more penalties and worse in the run game.

Um... Doom has played one full season less than Hali, has more sacks, and is cheaper for the remainder of his contract. Not sure what you're talking about.

Good. That way we can fit even more talent on the roster.

He may have been a little more expensive than Hali last season, but a lot of that was that Hali had to pay back the salary for the time he missed due to his suspension.

Dumervil: 2013: 12 million/2014: 10 million/2015: 8.2 million
Hali: 2013: 12.25 million/2014: 8.25 million/2015: 8.75 million

While Dumervil has put up more sacks, Hali is a pressure machine who has performed throughout his career.

More like:

Doom: 13.6/11.6/9.8
Hali: 15.5/11.5/12.0

http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/denver-br...lvis-dumervil/
http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/kansas-ci...fs/tamba-hali/

Guess which helps teams win more games: sacks or pressures?

It's speculation, you turd. If Dumervil is that much more ****ing valuable than Tamba Hali, then why are you trying to inject him in a conversation about trades? Why don't you speculate about trading Von Miller? Why don't the Texans speculate about trading JJ Watt?

Could it be that Dumervil really ISN'T all that valuable? Especially at the price your troll ass is suggesting?

Keep up the trolling, bud. You won't see any bets with me for an entire year. Now go to your room.

That'd be comparable if that's what we were paying Justin Houston. You're paying that to your 2nd best passrusher.

I was talking about trade value, so it shouldn't matter what role he has on the Broncos.

You are looking at cap hit, dumbass. The Chiefs would have to eat far more of Hali's contract than the Bronco's would of Dumervil's in the event of a trade because the Chiefs paid more in a signing bonus.

Ok, cool.

I'm fairly surprised that people took me seriously. Did you really think that I believed Denver could get half a team's draft for Doom?

I just thought a 1 and a 3 was absurd for Hali, so I thought I would illustrate such an idea with my own absurd trade value.

I mean, you guys traded a 26 year old Allen after leading the league in sacks for #15 and 2 3rds. No way a 29 year old Hali fetches anything similar after being out-sacked by 22 different guys.

Allen was a high-risk guy hanging on to his career by a thread who had no contract in place. And yes, I realize you are trolling us and I am eating it up.
