Broncos Derek Wolfe suspended 4 games

@AdamSchefter: Denver DE Derek Wolfe suspended 4 games for violating NFL’s Performance-Enhancing Drug policy. Suspension Friday continues (no Brady news).

Potroast leaves and now Wolfe suspended? Run the ****ing ball

Being that KC practices against a 3-4 everyday...with a NT like Poe and an OLB like Houston.. it will actually benefit them when playing Denver. They dont have the personnel yet to fully transition..and if you dont have a proper NT.. it compromises the entire scheme.

Do you think Poe is the only DL in the league that gets double teamed?

He's another guy who has more sacks than Poe in fewer games.

Antonio Smith has been effective in multiple systems throughout his career. Therefore, DL can be compared, even if they don't play in the exact same system.

Wade Phillips has had dominating defenses with all different kinds of NT's. Small ones, fat ones it doesn't matter. If we weren't happy with Sylvester Williams and Marvin Austin we would've paid Terrence Knighton the measly $4 million dollar contract he got from Washington.

Comparing a 3-4 NT to a 4-3 DT isn't comparing apples to apples like comparing a 3-4 DE to a 4-3 DE isn't comparing apples to apples.

You wont find many NTs with gaudy pass rushing stats. It's supremely difficult to do so from said position, which is what makes Poe so rare. Neither Haloti Ngata, Vince Wilfork or Jamal Williams (three of the biggest name NTs I can remember from recent years) ever had a season in which they recorded more than 5 sacks. Poe recorded 6 this past season.

Denver is actually better set up for a 3-4 than a 4-3 anyways. We have 4 stud LB's (not counting Shane Ray), Wolfe and Malik are perfect 3-4 ends, and Sly and Marvin Austin can both be penetrating/disruptive NT's.

Damon Harrison, who many regard as one of the best NTs in the league, has 1 sack in the last two seasons combined.

Yeah..keep telling yourself that..."Sly and Marvin Austin can both be penetrating/disruptive NT's"

You better hope they require double teams...or Denver's sack count is going to drop considerably. Your OLBs have a lot more responsibility. It's why it took almost the entire season for Ford to even get on the field. It's a different position. Switching to a 3-4 inst an overnight thing...it takes like 3 seasons to iron out the personnel. You'll find out...
