Keeper league: who to keep...

Keeper league.

I need to keep three and I've decided to keep L. Bell (HB, Pitt) and Beast Mode.

Need 1 more of the following three: Romo, Stafford, Andre Johnson.

Which 1 of the three would you keep?...

Everyone can keep up to 3.

If you keep 2 instead of 3 you get an extra pick after everyone else is done...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

So it's choosing between 2 QBs and a possibly unmotivated WR or picking up a possible sleeper at any other position...

I guess it really depends on scoring in your league.

4 pts for a QB TD
6 pts for a WR TD

That is tough.

Cowboys probably have the worse D, although Lions secondary sucks, but Boys should be playing from behind a lot again this year. Plus, everyone's D in their division sucks so Romo should have success. Scott Linehan is the new play caller this year and he likes to go vertical. While in Detroit they are getting the great grandson of Vince Lombardi to get his first shot as OC after being positional coach in N.O. But he should be ready getting valuable experience learning from Peyton and Brees. Also, the Lions have a new HC in Jim Caldwell.

There are a lot of similarities in both offenses from Megatron to Dez. Witten to Lions rookie TE Eric Ebron. Both have very capable 2nd and 3rd WR's as well. Along with good Recieving backs Bush and Murray who had 53 receptions last year.
Surprisingly, Romo has never hit 40 TD's in a season where Stafford has done it once in his short career but then dipped back down and never got close since.

One thing to take into account is the schedules, Stafford has to play @ Chicago outside in December week 16 for what would be your Championship game.
Romo is home for the Colts.

I think you should be able to say, Stafford and want to say Stafford. But I'd go Romo still one more year.

Keep Romo. Stafford MIGHT put up more, but Romo's level of prod is pretty well known and more of a constant.

I'm in a similar conundrum. Auction league. Can keep 3 and Tender 1 contract (like NFL franchise tag. Can claim player for auctioned amount). $150 cap.

Know I'm keeping:

Marshawn Lynch ($19)

Know I'm tendering:
Adrian Peterson (could keep him for $44)

Other options to keep (need to pick 2):

Andrew Luck (19)
Colin Kaerpernick (8)
Toby Gerhart (5)
Pierre Garcon (19)

I'm leaning towards Luck and Garcon at this point, but that price on Gerhart calls out to me. That's a crazy value for a RB2.

Thoughts?

Luck and Gerhart. Gerhart is going over 300 carries this season as the lead back and Garcon is going to see a dip in targets because of Jackson.

The Colts running game will take a huge step back this year and people forget just how much Luck actually scrambles.

Gerhart should be a huge carries guy for a team with a rookie QB and no defense...

I had to put it in by the 26th so I did it today.

I think (if healthy) Romo will have the better season but the back issue still worries me.

I also think at the end of the year the lions might have an outside shot at the playoffs and every reason to care/play during my playoffs...

I still go Stafford. The additions of Tate and Ebron will be huge.

Plus, keeping Stafford allows you to not root for Dallas. Or be forced to watch their games.
