****Official 2013-14 Missouri Tiger Football Repository Thread****

We have two things to look forward to this year:

1) The potential beginning of the Maty Mauk Era. Mauk represents the best chance for this program to get back to a level of respectability after horrendous QB play cost us multiple games last year.

2) The last year of the Gary Pinkel era. Pinkel's entrenched cronyism won't play in a conference this competitive, especially if he couples his abysmal gameday coaching with lackadaisical, worst-in-conference recruiting. Pinkel was the formerly adequate meal that has now turned into a four pound bowel obstruction. It's time to jam a Fleet's enema up our collective asses.

Here is the schedule. We dodge Alabama, LSU, and Arkansas in the west and the Non-con is decidedly weaker than years past.

8/31: Murray State
9/7: Toledo
9/21: @ Indiana
9/28: Arkansas State
10/5:@ Vanderbilt
10/12: @ Georgia
10/19:Florida
10/26: South Carolina
11/2:Tennessee
11/9: @ Kentucky
11/23: @ Ole Miss
11/30: aTm

Looks like 6-6. Undefeated in non-con, 2-6 in league play.

I will eventually update the OP with a list of high profile in-state recruits that decide to go elsewhere after a half-assed attempt to gain their services. The inevitable cavalcade of *** rejects, skeezers, skanks, and scalliwags we get will fill out the ranks.

Razors, cyanide capsules, and Jonestown Kool-Aid are available in the break room. Second door on the left.

Since every Mizzou thread eventually dies of AIDS, I recommend starting anti-retroviral therapy immediately. I believe Walgreens covers Express Scripts.

Premium In-State Players:

Roderick Johnson: **** OT, Florissant, MO.
Monte Harrison: **** WR, Lee's Summit, MO.
Jimmy Swain: **** LB, Lee's Summit, MO

Commitment List: From to and possibly

Spoiler!

It was cool to see DGB running with vision there, on the screen play - although I don't know what you'd call those attempts to tackle him, it wasn't even arm-tackling, more like hand-tackling. Or maybe just tickling.

I hope he sits on the sideline the rest of the game.....I don't mind seeing a little of Greg White and Morgan Stewart....give them a few reps to build for next year.

UK has played like they were doing 2-Hand Touch football all year. MU needs to just settle in end this game early in the 3rd quarter.

Yeah, I would say, "Maybe we should let Franklin get some reps", but it would probably be better to give our backup linemen and others some reps, and I wouldn't put Franklin out there behind backup linemen.

No way would I risk it.....let Mauk continue to get confidence and develop a rhythm with the receivers.

This is actually working out really well for MU this year. Mauk is getting experience and getting cohesion with the Offense which will pay great dividends for next year.

If Mauk starts to show nervousness in the next game you can bring in Franklin and let him take back over.

I would let Mauk lead this till he starts to falter.

It's working out well for next year. For this year? The team would be top four and undefeated w/ a healthy Franklin.

Working out well in that Mauk hasn't completely faltered....yes we should be undefeated, but you can place the blame for that just as much on Baggett. Mauk has played capably in place of Franklin.....all you have to do is look at last year to see what could have happened with Franklin going out.

Baggett didn't blow a 17 point 4th quarter lead or give up a TD on 4th and Goal from the 15.

Seventy-five percent of the blame goes to Steckel and Pinkel. Twenty-four percent goes to Mauk for being awful in that game, and one percent goes to Baggett.

Sorry I give more blame to Baggett....that was a chip shot FG that he completely blew. Yes Mauk played bad....but he wasn't as bad as the defense in the 2nd half.

And we agree that Pinkel and Steckel shoujld shoulder the blame.

Franklin is the starter.

If Mauk had played every game like the Florida game, ok. He has not been good enough to unseat Frank

What you fail to see with bagget, is that he should have never been in a position to miss said kick
