What we know about Russian interference in 2016.

  • We know the Russians orchestrated a massive theft of information from the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton's campaign and used that information to help Donald Trump win the 2016 election.
  • We know Russia, in order to help Donald Trump win the election, ran a massive social media campaign to try to inflame racial division.
  • We know Russia also probed a couple dozen states' election systems to see if they could tamper with them.
  • We know Trump publicly encouraged Russia to hack Clinton's emails, or to publicize emails they could have already hacked.
  • We know the first time Russia did hack her emails was the evening of the day Trump made that request.
  • We know that Trump associates like Roger Stone appeared to have advance warning of the release of the emails.
  • We know that Trump wasn't the only person in his campaign who was interested in cooperation with Russia. When Russia operatives reached out to his son, saying "I've got dirt on Hillary, and I'd like to give it to you" Trump Jr said "if it's what you say, I love it" and brought the Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and Jared Kushner to a meeting with those Russians in the Trump tower.
  • In the aftermath of the Trump tower meeting, Donald Trump personally dictated a statement to the public lying about what that meeting was about, saying it was about adoption. The White House first said Donald Trump had nothing to do with that statement, which was also a lie.
  • We know the Trump campaign intervened in the drafting of the Republican platform at the 2016 RNC to weaken the language on Russia.
  • We know Trump's eventual AG and eventual national security advisor met several times with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak, and both misled Congress and the FBI respectively numerous times on those contacts.
  • We know from Trump's own public testimony, that he fired the director of the FBI to end his investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 elections.
  • We know, again from Trump himself, that he wishes he had never hired and wishes he could fire Jeff Sessions for not being able to protect him well enough from the Mueller investigation.
  • We know that in 2008, Donald Trump Jr. said of the Trump Organization "Russians make up a disproportionate percentage of our assets." In 2014, Eric Trump said "we don't rely on American banks; we have all the funding we need out of Russia."
  • We know, that from 2003-2017, buyers from Russia made 86 all cash sales totaling more than $100 billion at Trump rented properties.
  • We know that Paul Manafort was in debt to Oleg Deripaska (Russian oligarch close to Putin) and actually asked Deripaska "now that I'm campaign manager, how do we use this to get whole?"
  • We also know that Manafort had also run the campaign of a Russian-funded presidential candidate in the Ukraine to help pay off his debts to Russian oligarchs.
  • We know Trump has continually named people with close Russian ties or Russian-related suspicions to his foreign policy team during the campaign (i.e. Carter Page, George Popadopolous) and during his Presidency (i.e. Rex Tillerson, Brian Benczkowski).
  • We know Trump's eventual national security advisor Michael Flynn was on the payroll of a Kremlin-funded propaganda network.
  • We also know that Flynn asked Russia to hold off on retribution against the Obama administration because the incoming administration was going to do something about sanctions on Russia.
  • We know that Kushner sought a secret communications channel with Russians so the US government couldn't hear their negotiations.
  • We know Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen was paid $1 million after the election by the Russians (Columbus Nova) for "consultation."
  • We know that since being elected, Trump has repeatedly fought Congress to refuse to impose sanctions on Russia.
  • We know that Trump repeatedly praised Vladimir Putin at considerable political cost in the aftermath of the election.
  • We know that Donald Trump has worked to undermine NATO and the alliance with the EU.
What am I leaving out?

Please limit your additions to this list to only things we know beyond a reasonable doubt.

How Mitch McConnell Prevented Stronger Action Against Russian Election Meddling

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was apparently one of the Republican leaders who was most responsible for putting the brakes on a stronger White House pushback against Moscow’s efforts at trying to affect the outcome of the U.S. election. At the end of a bombshell Washington Post piece about how the CIA has concluded that Russia was trying to help Donald Trump win the White House, there is word of a secret meeting on Capitol Hill with a group of key lawmakers in September. It was at this meeting that McConnell reportedly expressed serious reservations about the intelligence and threatened to politicize the agency’s findings if they were made public.............
This doesn't make my claim any less important when it comes to what we know about Russian meddling Nice try though.

Susan Rice told the cyber chief to stand down, so if you want to figure out how to tie that to McConnel knock yourself the **** out.

If you had a brain cell functioning you would realize one topic is about publicizing what was going on and the other is about actually doing something about what was going on.

No surprise Direckshun wont add the facts to the OP though.

You gotta read the Mueller indictment.
You should read the indictment instead of erroneous reports made by careless/biased journalists. The infamous 30k+ missing emails he was talking about were (hacked) and deleted by that time. The indictment doesn’t allege a coded message meaning something completely different than its face value meaning, yet that’s what you’re effectively claiming as a known. It’s not.

You can't argue with the uninformed.

Most of you still probably think 9-11 was done by a guy on dialysis in a cave.

Can someone point me to the Direckshun thread titled "What we know about Donna Brazile, Hillary Clinton, DWS interference in 2016."

Direckshun, when are you going to learn that your side has checkmated itself?

I'm not even thinking about Russia until we prosecute the perpetrators that we actually have very public evidence on.
