Now, if Mahomes becomes as good as many including myself think he could be, it's a whole new level for the Chiefs. The offense could become something it hasn't been in nearly 15 years.
I honestly dont see our guys being quite as dynamic as Atlantas duo

But what our guys lack in explosiveness, they should be be able to make up for with with a grinding, wear you down, kill the clock style... provided Ehingers return is the cure for what ailed us last year

What Alex Smith brings this year, I have no clue... tempted to expect the same old shit because thats how he has mostly played for his entire career

But maybe, just maybe, the writing on the wall spurs him to reach outside of himself and he tries to MAKE plays for once... 'good' Smiff can approach dynamic, we'll see

The pressure will either make him wilt, or make him show off

If he decides to grab his balls, we could have a great year

This is a big possibility that Smith gets injured. So Mahomes can come in I'd think after week 8 minimum and be ready if Smith goes down and then showcase his talents. He may struggle of course but the upside is game time experience.

F**king moron. If Alex keeps doing 'his thing', that isn't good at all for him or the team. He needs to play aggressively for 4 quarters, every game. That is his only hope of putting together a season worthy of keeping him around in '18.
You're going to feel really stupid if Smith is the starter in '18 or Mahomes ends up being a busy. Like really, really stupid

You mean like when KC traded up for Mahomes after you said for months Dorsey and Reid knew better?

The risk goes both ways here. That's why the bet was made.

Alex has been hurt 2/4 years he's been here and has only played 4 full 16 game seasons.

Chances are absolutely possible that Mahomes could see time on the field this season.

Alex Smith fans are just the weirdest and the worst. Dude has never lead a top offense, despite playing with some elite defenses and some very productive rush offenses. Who effing cares about efficiency? Points are what win games and Alex has never been able to produce points. Alex's main attribute is not turning the ball over- that's it. Alex typically faffs about for sixty minutes trying not to eff-up and waiting for his defense and rush attack to win the game. I hated that trade from day one and I can't wait until that mothereffer is gone.

I wonder if there were any Jeff Garcia superfans back in the day... following him about and crowing about his pro bowl appearances and all the times he lead a team to the playoffs. You people are weird. Really, really weird.

The Alex and Andy haven't proven that they can put together postseason performances when it matters. Yes, that means BIG throws when it matters.

You know what no one talks about in the Broncos-Ravens 2013 playoff matchup? The critical drops Jacoby Jones had in the game - the reason is that Joe kept throwing to him until it lead them to the biggest upset of the postseason.

Drops are going to happen. To Alex, they're devastating, because he rarely takes these kinds of risks throughout the game. For us to win, Alex has to be winning to take more chances throughout the next season and postseason. He had the chance to lead us to victory against the Steelers, and he simply didn't pull the trigger.

Mod Abuse. They took your post as the starting point of the derailing of the other thread with Alex shit, like Alex shit isn't the entire reason for this site's continued zombie state.

The posts were extracted from the Kareem Hunt thread to separate the conversation. As it should have been.
