I agree bringing up exclusivity is a bad idea, but acting aloof/making yourself less available is also a bad idea. IMHO, you want to escalate things. She won’t see other people if she feels you two are getting serious (not saying you are serious, but acting like it).

If she is all caught up in this blossoming relationship, she may not even consider going out with other guys. If she thinks you are just casual and you disappear for chunks at a time, she will likely lose interest and go on a date every night.

Saw the girl I mentioned a few weeks ago out last night with another dude. This is the one who didn't mind hooking up with me but wouldn't leave her boyfriend even though he skews in the douche direction for the most part.

It felt pretty damned obvious she'd been flirting with me for the large part of this year and I know she had a thing for me ever since she'd met me years ago. But that doesn't matter apparently.

You're right. Because she wasn't going to end things with her boyfriend, I told her we can't be friends from that point on. Alea iacta est. She said wanted me to reconsider that stance because she was hurt by it. I didn't.

You're better off this way. She's flippantly cheating on her current boyfriend, and even if she "left" him for you, who's to say she wouldn't do the same to you?
