I'm not validating the nickname by any means and think its rather silly, but my guess (and just a guess) is that it's a play on Von Dutch. There has been many a spin off of it, Von Drunk, Von Douche, etc.

No joke or reference. I think its a pretty decent nickname that people should yell at the stadium when one of them gets a sack, I mean the crowd has been yelling DOOOOOOOOM ever since Dumervil has been here.

Why though? It makes no sense to add Doom to a chant if Miller gets a sack and is just as silly adding Von to the front of the Doom chant. Maybe, maybe if they both shared a sack (which I'm sure they've done many a time)
