And the other three have us taking Joekel. Of those three, one (old man Brandt) has Geno going 3rd to the Raiders, another (Charles Davis) has Geno going 6th to the Cards, and the third (Breer) has no QB being drafted in the 1st round.

I'm back to thinking Smith will be the pick. I don't think they'll give up what the Eagles want for Foles. It might be a risk, but Reid has shown the willingness to take risks before
The draftperts are putting too much weight in the BPA line. This is Reid's pick.

Even if they trade for Foles it doesn't mean he wont or shouldn't have serious competition. I can see a scenario where it's Foles and Geno on the team. And winner in camp is the starter. That would be ideal IMO.

If they trade a significant pick like 2.2 or 3.1 for him, he SHOULD have serious competition but he WON'T.

Just the way it works.

"Competition" is coach speak for "we don't have a real QB". If they trade for Foles, it's because they think he can be "the man".

He's literally PERFECT for Reid's offense.

I know a lot of people point to Barkley as being the ideal WCO QB but as I mentioned in another thread, I think the metrics say otherwise.

http://secondroundstats.com/2013/02/...ics-breakdown/

Barkley actually threw the most passes (in terms of percentage of attempts) less than 5 yards by quite a wide margin. And on top of that, his accuracy in the 1-5 range was WAY below average.

Barkley was way below average in the short and screen passing games. That's not WCO at all.

Albert Breer is the NFLN EOE hire. He's literally a ****ing tard.

I wasn't here then so I wasn't around to comment on Kaep. But I'm not gonna bullshit and act like I knew what was there. I pretty much guarantee you had I been around for those conversations, I would have said you were nuts.

I'm generally REALLY skeptical when it comes to QBs. I don't go all in on many guys. There haven't been too many QBs coming out the last few years that I really liked.

Correct me if I am wrong, but is this only the 2nd or 3rd year with the rookie pay scale. I have this vision of the so called draft "experts" needing a few years before they understand that the concept of "value" in the NFL draft has radically changed.

Bust rookie 1st rounders will not kill a franchise as they have in the past. So if KC take Geno 1st overall and he flames out (not predicting this just saying if he flames out) KC can draft another QB.

If there is any chance at all of the Eagles wanting to jump up, the only trade down scenario I've heard that make an iota of sense(but still far fetched as hell), if switching spots with Philly for Foles and still drafting Geno. That would be assuming you are 100% positive Oakland won't take him.

Barkley threw more short passes, but still averaged more yards in the air than Geno. His short passes are apparently at the longer end of the spectrum (closer to 5 yards) than Smith.
