Don't believe there's a dedicated thread, and since they're starting to release information now, I figure it's time for one.

I think they're manipulating the server queues in order to spread the population around. That way they don't have low populated servers that they will have to merge later. They introduce an artificial wait time on the more populated servers in order to encourage people to join the less populated servers.

Which is well and good, except that it forces people like us to sit in a queue when our guild has already been assigned to a particular server. If they are manipulating the queues, it seems a bit early to me, since the game hasn't been launched to the general public.

As they bring more and more servers online, I'm sure the queue times will drop (hopefully by the end of next week). That's my best guess, anyway.

Sure doesn't come out that way. That "If so" is pretty telling.

Yes indeed, married once was married one too many times.

I'm not working this week, and I have no family or girlfriend to occupy me, so my time is completely my own. But I won't be playing like this indefinitely, obviously.

There's thousands of people who were "sick" this week. So I'm not alone in my obsession. I saw dudes in their low 30s yesterday afternoon.

I'll defend Keg here as well, not that he needs it. If all he did was play games, that would be one thing (though who really gives a shit if that were the case either?). He also writes (finished NaNoWriMo this month), reads prolifically (frequent contributor to the what are you reading thread), watches a ton of good movies and TV, and exercises (though I have a feeling his exercising has fallen by the wayside as of late).

I've blown up like a balloon since November when I started NaNoWrimo. I'm supposed to get back on the horse today. Course the first thing I did when I got up was log in.

Well he said he doesn't have a family so I'm ok with it now. It was just more on a personal level dealing with me which is why I blew up. And pertaining to the mediocrity part. I was saying his "wife" was accepting mediocrity in the form of being ok with him spending all his free time on that game because she has a house and his income to support her so anything else he does he can get away with.

Ahh. Judgemental much?

Assuming he were married, you're making a lot of assumptions about his life and relationship. Maybe his wife has been out of town on business for a week, allowing him to play? Maybe his wife is playing just as much as him? Maybe his wife is an invalid, and he lovingly changes her diapers and feeds her through a tube in between playing sessions of TOR?

Let's not get too derailed by this. I wasn't offended in any way by what he said.

It's like he's our own personal Entertainment Weekly, except that he filters out all the crap for us.
