FAR CRY 3!!

Very much fun even in first 5 minutes of playing! I striked boar instantly and got gun fast but limited so far in destroying bad guys. Only played an hour so far amazing views. I hope the amazing continues!!

I regret trading in Red Dead.

I'll probalby pick it up again one day. One of the most fun games ever.

....except when a GD grizzly bear sees you. or a damn mountain lion.

If I'm remembering this correctly, there was an achievement on that game where you had to kill 2 Grizzlies with your knife.

Was tough work, for sure.

Yeah that was the toughest achievement in the Single Player mode. I'm still pissed about them including online multiplayer achievements to get the platinum trophy for the PS3. I got 100% in Single Player, but couldn't get the platinum trophy because of my shitty internet.

Now that I'm moving to a place that has decent internet, I might give it another shot.

I'm not an achievement whore by any means. Truthfully, I stop playing most games once I complete the main storyline, but for some reason, I really wanted to get that grizzly achievement.

... So I went out in the woods where they usually spawn and waited around. The issue I had was that there would often be 3 or 4 of them and in that case, you're pretty much ****ed. So I kept dying but kept trying. Finally I came up with the plan of shooting them with the pistol a few times (just enough to weaken them) then finishing them off with one or two swings of the blade.

But back to Farcry..

I've never played any of the previous games and don't know exactly what to expect. I watched about the first 20 minutes of the game on Youtube and it piqued my interest big time. I'm not going to spend $60 to buy it, but I was thinking of maybe Redboxing it for a few days, just enough to beat it.

I think it's over rated, yeah its a massive world but it gets stale quick. Game looks nice but honestly, I haven't touched it since the week it came out.

I beat it completely and sold it for $42 on Amazon. I'd give it a 73% if I had to grade it. It's definitely WAY more FPS than RPG. It's a nice change of pace for an FPS, but honestly, those games are designed to be played online. It would take a monumental effort to make a good single player FPS at this point.

Do not buy this game if you're expecting Skyrim's depth and scope. This is a dried up pond compared to the ocean that is Skyrim.

I love it. I think it is more like Dead Island as far as quests and side missions

I would recommend..

It's not a bad game, in fact it's a lot of fun in many places, but it is maddeningly linear and has absolutely no replay value. That said, I cackled like a madman during the mission where you burned the drug fields. It also sucks that the secondary villain is 100000 times more interesting and developed than the primary antagonist.

Ok. This one sounds like a perfect Redboxer then. I'll pick it up when I have a couple days off in a row and knock it out real quick..
