ANyone else still want to TANK the season for a better draft pick?

Say the words, and join my ignore list:

"we should tank this season for a better draft pick"

Let this thread stand as a testimony to traitors

abandon the fight and wish upon our great, and
holy Chiefs, to lose games and give up the fight.

By shunning them and making their words vanish

WE WILL WIN

We have not given up the will to fight. We are not

The only reason I am not still freaking out is because of the rumors that Crennel doesn't want Cassel, and the evidence supports it. Not putting the ball in your QB's hands at the end of the game says a lot.

For that reason alone, I am not completely off the Romeo train.

Having said that, we still need a DC that isn't also the head coach.

Houston went a long way towards making Pioli not a complete failure. He looks legit (as some of us have been saying for awhile now).

But seriously, people. Can you imagine what this team could be doing if we had a QB who could throw 35 yard strikes to his split outs? If we had a 1-gap zone blitzing defense that utilized the quickness of Dorsey and Poe?

I'm not for tanking, but this shit is far from fixed. Romeo needs to upgrade his DC position, which SHOULD upgrade the HC position.

And QB needs an overhaul.

He put the ball in Cassel's hands in overtime.

IMO the only reason we were so conservative is because we were playing with a makeshift offensive line.

Try to get too cute and you get kicked out of FG range.

In overtime when time wasn't an issue they started throwing again. First 2 or 3 plays were passes.

Scott sucked part of the life out of my fandom by yet again putting all his chips in Cassel.

Romeo's passive playstyle against Buffalo (punting down 20 points in Buffalo territory) and playing for the tie in regulation against NO sickens me. It's not the kind of football I like or appreciate or want to root for.

I want a clean slate. Are there times I'm hoping the opposing team puts points on the board? You bet.

I've never hoped for a player to get injured before.

Well, other than Michael Vick.

I find myself hoping each time Cassel drops back that he breaks his hand again, or his collarbone or something.

Not that I think Quinn is the answer either. I just KNOW Cassel isn't, and I'm still going to watch the rest of the year anyway. I just find myself caring less and less, after 30+ years of being a fan.

Sucks.

The funny thing is that we don't have to want or hope the Chiefs will lose. They just will.

This thread is completely moot.

So, I'll go on record saying I'm hoping for a 14-2 season! ain't gonna happen.

Chiefs keys to success:

`. Run for 250 yards
2. Kick six field goals
3. Have 5 calls reversed
4. Fumble ball, have TD return called back by moron refs
5. Avoid actually paying for Cassel's inept play.

The sad thing is that #5 is an actual game plan

EXACTLY!

I mean there has to be a line somewhere....So I suppose that is the line...

On one side you have people ACTIVELY hoping and praying for losses...

On the other you have pissed off fans who dont WANT to lose, but aren't getting upset if they do, because they know that it will lead to changes...

On one side are idiots / traitors...On the other are the more intelligent fans. Period.

Honestly I am not very optimistic either...The Saints miracle has brought me from the brink of not caring to having a spark of hope...but I am ready for that to be extinguished at any time....and if we lose I would also hope for regime change...

BUT

That's totally different from rooting for a loss, and being unhappy with wins.

AND

Even if we do keep winning, the magnifying glass will only continue to focus on Cassel and other problem areas if all of components of our team are strong except a few...

Our team losing a bunch of games would just mean that we have far too many components 'broken' to just simply replace Cassel and start rampaging through the league.

So, the best thing for this team is wins.....PERIOD.

If our team's best players were injured like last season I would be all for tanking.

But as bad as Cassel is, we still have the ability to compete in the AFCW. Neither team in this division looks like a sure thing, so at least we have that going for us.
