That's what I thought when I filled up three weeks ago for $2.50 a gallon. Now it's $1.70 a gallon.

I am Texas where we drill the damn stuff and we are just now dropping below $1.80 in most places. Cheapest I have seen is $1.72 at a cut-rate place.

I heard that the KC area has the cheapest gas in the country. Is that true? If it is, I wonder why?

For KC, yes, I think it'll hit $1.00. I predict it'll be Jan. 12th. That's just a guess.

Yeppers. Prices of oil went up today and there have been reports of OPEC cutting production back. Personally I don't think it will go much lower than it is now and will steadly increase over the holidays.

It's all about city, county and state taxes.

It's possible to find gas in Los Angeles for $1.99. But most stations are still around $2.19 with some as high as $2.79.
