Acceptable #'s for Cassel thsi season??

What numbers would you call acceptable for Cassel this year?

They were talking about this on 610 this afternoon and here is the numbers they threw out...

3300 yds passing
23 TD's
11 Int's

While slightly above average #'s they are not impressive though Cassel has achieved them.

We know he is not going to be elite but what numbers would consider acceptable for him?

Enough wins to secure the division, first round bye, and at least one playoff win.

Basically Alex Smith like numbers.

2011 Smith numbers......which to me was a fluke...I would not be shocked if he blows it in 2012....

I have as much doubt in him as the drafturbators have in Cassel.

Cool, at least you left your mark in history to be known as a traitorous idiot , rooting for his own team to fail.

He must pass the eye test of not being a checkdown pussy with no pocket awareness.

Numbers don't matter, unless you are counting playoff wins.

I'm years past the point of hope with Cassel. Even if he has a stellar year this year, I'm not buying into him as the future. Whatever happens this season, I want a 1st round QB next April.

If someone could be injured by willing it, I'm pretty sure Cassel would be done in training camp purely from the will of this site. I don't think an injury any later than that would be beneficial to us though because Stanzi would need some quality time with the first team. However, if Cassel gets injured look for Pioli to go out and pick up a vet to start in front of Stanzi and Quinn. Theres just no endgame where an injury works out that I can see, because I really don't think Pioli will let either of those two guys play. ****

Why do you guys keep making threads about Cassel? He's going to be pretty bad like he always is and always throw short passes but not very well.

Numbers never tell the entire story. Just don't lose games and maybe pull a few drives out when needed.

He's such a bundle of sticks though.

If I'm going to be serious and really hope for a good season from Stanzi, I would hope for a 61-63% completion, over 2.800 yds, and a 7.0+ ypa. Hopefully a td/int of 18-12 to 24-14. Tom was able to win a SB with similar numbers (unrealistic, I know) but Dalton was able to have similar #s as well and had a good season in a tough division.

This is a QB driven league and he has enough weapons to make almost any QB cream himself. Anything less than 10 wins, 4,000 yards and 30+ TDs and less than half of that in INTs with at least a playoff win is unacceptable for this turd cutter. He has been here starting too long to put up average to mediocre numbers. Not with everything Pioli has brought in for him.
