Bjoern Werner

Could he possibly add 12-20lbs and play as a 1-gap DE? I haven't watched him at all, save a few snaps on ESPN and casually watching FSU.

Edit: He's 6'5 275 currently. FWIW, JJ Watt is pretty prototypical size in 6'5, 295.

No, but I'll add him to the list.

I watched the Montana St (iirc) kid. I want.

Seems pretty strong and you could potentially you could have him play the 3 or 4/5 tech on subs, with Poe playing a shaded 1 with Hali and hOuston playing either 7s or 9s. It's a stretch, I know. However, I'm desperate for a true 3/4/5 tech who can provide a pass rush consistently.

Additionally, you could do various stunts to get him 1-1 matchups that would play favorably to his style, especially in a fire-zone base.
I don't think so. I think he's a Abraham/Allen type of guy that won't carry the weight well and will have to stay in the 265ish range to be truly effective.

I mean, the guy is an absolute beast and is non-stop, but you'd have to run a 46 version of the 3-4 defense if you want to keep your current personel and add a guy like Werner (but then you've kind of got that same guy in Hali and Houston). Personally, I think we should really look at getting a DC in here that can effectively run it (perhaps Rob Ryan) as our personel is really set up for it right now. We'd kill teams with that setup. Poe and Berry would absolutely thrive in it and it would allow Powe to see the field and redirect the point of attack.

It ain't gonna happen though. I think he could legitimately go to Jacksonville at #2.

If jacksonville is smart, they'd draft him and then snag whatever QB was available or trade up.
