Starting quarterback: Cassel or Croyle?
Unfortunately, this question is the talk of the week.

Croyle had a 2 touchdown, 0 interception performance against the Ravens in a 38-24 loss. He led Kansas City to 11 first downs and 188 total yards.

Cassel had a 1 touchdown, 2 interception performance against the Raiders in a 13-10 loss. He led Kansas City to 25 first downs and 409 total yards.

A....*ahem*......"quarterback controversy". Just what we needed, right? So, let's go ahead and amuse ourselves.....Cassel or Croyle? Here. We. Go.......

You have to go with Cassel. Brodie looks ok, but is brittle. And we've seen what Brodie can't do...win games. Cassel (albeit for a much better team) has won games in the NFL. Until the season is over or he's been killed by an opposing defense, Cassel is the man.

...but I do think it's good to have Brodie around, hot wife not withstanding...

The only "controversy" is in newspaper reporter's heads. If Cassel is healthy enough to play, he will play. For the record, I don't want a QB who is afraid to take chances and plays it safe all the time (Croyle).

This is the dumbest thing.

What did people expect from Cassel? He had about 19 pass attempts all of preseason before getting hurt. Since he has been hurt the team has (a) fired the OC, (b) changed the gameplan and terminology, (c) rotated the right side of the OL, (d) continually rotated WRs and brought in Wade, (e) continually rotates HBs.

Of course he's going to look rusty and unsure. There has been absolutely no continuity.

I understand Haley wants everyone to earn a spot and the best players to practice are going to get playing time, but at some point you've got to settle the roster down a bit and let the players get accustomed to each other. Haley also needs to use his play makers. They barely went to Bowe in the first half of the Raiders game.

Some people already have their minds made up about Cassel. Until he wins a SB, he'll always be a POS. Realistic expectations be damned. It goes double for the GM, because he didn't draft who "we" wanted.

I'm prepared to hear the cry for Croyle from these people soon. Not because they like Croyle, but because they hate Cassel.

That said, this was all pretty predictable.
