This Week's Gambling Thread (10/14 - 10/20)
First of all, and most importantly - Some of you had a great week (Gaz, jc, morph, etc), and we had one more casualty, Lattimer. I can't get to updating the front page as I have an important work matter to complete. I will update it as soon as possible. However, the other pages are updated.
1. Go to the Leaderboard to insure your name is on the list of competitors this season. Also check your totals. 2. If your name appears then you can go to 10/19/03 Odds to get the info to place your bets. Refresh the page BEFORE you decide on your bets. 3. Come back here and place your bets. I will take your bets from this page and place them on the web page listed in #2 above. I STRONGLY advice that you refresh the pages before referring to them, especially if you have cookies activated. Also note this very important fact: You are responsible for insuring your bets are placed accurately. Check it to insure your bets are correct. Remember - only you can prevent bad bet placement IMPORTANT RULE - DO NOT EDIT YOUR BETS AFTER YOU HAVE PLACED THEM. INSTEAD START A NEW REPLY WITH THE WORDS "CHANGE BET(S)" AT THE BEGINNING OF THE POST This will help me in keeping up with bet placement and changes without becoming an accountant and referee. Scores are as follows: 1 Gaz 43,653 2 jcl-kcfan2 38,712 3 morphius 36,200 4 UTChief 31,850 5 Bwana 31,680 6 Hoover 29,950 7 Old Codger 27,611 8 Fat Elvis 26,000 9 LVNHACK 23,250 10 Dartgod 22,300 11 SNR 22,070 12 Mojo Rising 21,650 13 ndbbm 21,300 14 mlyonsd 20,075 15 Smubbs 19,950 16 KCWolfman 18,250 17 Talisman 18,123 18 Iowanian 18,050 19 headsnap 16,150 20 Herzig 14,803 21 cdcox 14,500 22 lil_momma 13,020 23 Chiefnj 12,960 24 mikey23545 12,800 25 OVER-HEAD 11,233 26 Naptown Chief 10,890 27 Phobia 9,473 28 T_aco John 8,676 29 BIG_DADDY 7,850 30 bkkcoh 7,300 T31 Mark M 6,850 T31 mcan 6,850 33 KS Smitty 5,925 34 Brad_Caudle 5,050 35 Joe Seahawk 4,800 36 Rain Man 3,850 Out Lattimer |

I've got a question because I'm kind of dumb when it comes to this stuff. What is this money column with the +(some huge number) and -(some huge number)? I really don't understand what it is or how it works. Any clarity would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Quote:
You are betting on a team to win regardless of the points. The + number is how much you would get for a bet of $100. The - number is how much you have to bet to win $100. Example: KC -180 Oak +150 If you bet $5,000 on KC -180 & they won, you would win $100 for every $180 you bet. So you would win $2,778 on top of your original bet. If you bet $5,000 on Oak +150, you would win $150 for every $100 bet. So you would win $7,500 on top of your original bet. I think that's how it works anyway. |
