According to the Boston Globe Patriots Vince Wilfork out for season

"According to a league source, the veteran tore his right Achilles’ tendon."

http://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/20...mMK/story.html

Huge loss for the Patriots if this is true. Defensively his pressence will be greatly missed. Interesting to see how they move forward.

They'll plug someone in and barely skip a beat, just like they did with that Thompkins kid.

That would be big news.

I've always been impressed at Wilfork's durability. Behemoths like him would seem to be a little more vulnerable to leg problems.

It's now on the nfl site, but they're just quoting "a source".
