Ugh, exaggeration to make a point, thus losing it. You are naming some sick athletes. Tight ends are different, even the new breed. The crazy recoveries are recent, like last two yrs recent. Not to mention that each person is different. Like tommy John.

Also, how can someone be "always shit" but also "unproven"? I am not claiming that moeaki will pan out but this is just over-reaction. Especially the point that because two elite RB and one elite WR did it implies that a TE that doesn't is a fail.

Teams don't use just one TE anymore. It's not like giving him a chance is some clog in the way of another TE. If we have a chance at one and other positions aren't demanding attention first(which may be unlikely) then take him.
