World Of Wheels

World of Wheels this weekend in KC. Anyone planning on going?

I'm headed out there; I can't wait to check out the Rat Rods. I hope they have some there. Sometimes its hit or miss with 'em.

Last year was great; They seemed to have a lot more cool, stock Firebirds, Trans Ams, an Camaros from the 70's

yeah; as others have mentioned, it's sort of turned into all things cool on wheels.

but, the last few years there have been a good variety of cars. Some years, it's all newer-ish cars; some are dominated by old muscle cars.

I really enjoyed last year; there was quite a few Rat Rods at one end. I'm a sucker for those things.

Do you go to Greaserama? That place gets packed to overflowing with rat rods.

no; but I heard about it for the first time at WOW!.
I'm definitely going to check it out this year.

If I had a few grand and wanted to spend it on a car, it would definitely be a rat rod; or, just a rolling chassis w/ body (already chopped).

No idea why I like them lol.
I'd just love to bust it out on a weekend or nice day just to see the "WTF is that" looks I'd get

Mrs. Radar and I took her ’57 Ford to Greaserama the last two years. Trailering it up there is a PITA though, almost too much work to call “fun”, but we’ll probably do it again this year.
When it gets closer to time I’ll bump my old topic on it. Stevieray met me there last year, we had a fantastic time just shooting the shit.
I’d love to build a rat rod myself. A drag toy/weekend cruiser, but I already have a couple too many toys as it is. Which reminds me, anyone interested in a small boat, 14ft with 30 horse Yamaha outboard?

sweet dude. abouts when does Greaserama take place?

I'm definitely going this year. might even slick my hair back in a pony tail lol

I might be interested in the boat; looking for a little fishin' boat. It'll be my first boat though.

however, there are a lot of guys I work with that are out-doorsy and are always getting new shit for their collection (not 'new' per se, but you get my point)

They don’t have a schedule up for this year but it’s usually Labor Day weekend.
