Trump Sets Record

Trump's approval rating makes him least popular first-year president on record

President Trump's low approval rating has made him the least popular first-year president on record, according to an Associated Press-NORC poll released Saturday.

The survey shows the president's approval rating sitting at 32 percent, while 67 percent disapprove. Trump's approval rating has remained steady in the poll from September, but is down 10 points from March.

Another AP-NORC poll conducted this month found strongly pessimistic attitudes among Americans toward the president in his first year in office.

Only three in 10 Americans polled said the U.S. is headed in the right direction, while 52 percent said the country is worse off since Trump entered office in January.

Forty-five percent of Americans polled said they did not believe that Trump has kept his campaign promises, compared to 23 percent who said he has.

The poll comes as Trump wraps up his first year as president, and is poised to deliver a major campaign promise in the form of overhauling the U.S. tax code.

However, enacting a tax-cut bill would mark Trump's first legislative victory with a Republican-controlled Congress, 11 months into his presidency.

The president and congressional Republicans failed twice this year to deliver on their seven-year campaign promise to repeal and replace ObamaCare.

Despite lacking a large number of legislative victories, Trump has touted his administration's productivity during his first year in office.

The AP-NORC polls were conducted Nov. 30 through Dec. 4 among 1,444 adults and Dec. 7-11 among 1,020 adults. The first survey had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.7 percentage points, while the second survey's margin of error was plus or minus 4.3 percentage points.

The GOP thought he was going to get blown out as well. He lost the general by 3 million. He did win the election, but polling in a lot of ways was correct.

No it wasn't, many of the states he won had him trailing in those polls... As I have said before, if this was a popular vote contest, it would change the whole campaign of both parties. California, and the Northeast would actually get attention from the right, as Texas and the south would get attention from the left. However, we have an electoral college system, which was genius, and Trump won that comfortably...

What's Macron's approval rating? Theresa May?

The generic Democrat is at 38% approval rating...

Did not know that.

Yea, another poll.

By the show of yea or ney, who STILL believes in polls? Santa Claus, the Easter bunny, the tooth fairy, sure there is room for debate. They may or may not be real.

But DAMN, people still believing in polls is too much

On a side note, AMD, that is kind of a funny pic in the OP, the small hand bit was kinda funny

It's funny how people slam the electoral college when their candidate loses and think of it as "genius" when their candidate wins.

You, and all the other Trumpers...when it suits you. All the hype over the polls being wrong on the election...they weren't as off as you apparently think. They all have a stated margin of error...and being off by 1% can be the difference in changing the result. Don't be such a simpleton.

Put this people into the genius category, regardless of who wins. The electoral college ain't perfect, but it's close.

The states decide the president, not the people. And that's the way it should stay, even if it's the party I don't support

But I'm not a Trumper. You don't need to dig very deep here on CP to see that.

I suspect the thing is that all liberals walk in lock stock and barrel mode when told. Conservatives don't work that way. Polls won't sway us as much because we know they are a joke to start with. Polls are not intended to reflect popular opinion, they are designed to build it.

X millions of Americans believe Cosmo is a retard. HOWEVER, Y millions of Americans believe he/she/it is very intelligent and just chews on the bus seats and licks the windows because it helps the greater cause.

*this poll was conducted by OVERYONDERUNIVERSITY and we believe most of what we say at any given time

*we have conducted dozens of surveys of people standing next to us and everybody agrees, Trump is a big bugger head.

*All statements are accurate, give or take 74% or so

Can you see where there is room for error here?

Here is pretty good evidence that these polls are rigged.
