Was This Storm Over Hyped?
I wake up this morning to dump some salt for the wife and I notice the windshield on one of the cars has 0 ice on it at all.

I know some places probably got nailed but out south here it sure seems like we cried wolf.

Waaaaaaaaaay over hyped. Yes, some walkways and parking lots are very icy but the roads are fine. MOF, they have been treated so much the past few days they are better than they would be if it had snowed a couple inches.

Dude I went to school on buses on weather 10 times worse than this. We are pussy's in this day and age. **** I remember my hair being frozen from walking to school in shit like this.

I would rather everyone be prepared for the ice storm, especially after 2002, than not. The road crews did an excellent job thus far with preventing ice build up. I know that as of 7am, fairway and westwood are without power in Johnson County. Not sure up north. People might have been overboard with buying generators for 500 bucks, but as far as taking travel precautions, going to and from work, its expected.

and its not over yet...

No, the schools being canceled are fine. The sidewalks are slick and you have kids who'd be waiting in freezing rain for the bus to come. Some of the bus drivers are bad enough in regular conditions...yikes.

But the rest of this doomsday scenario is rather pointless.

South Central KS here. Power was out for a little bit last night. Went off again this morning at about 5:45a or so. I'm expecting it to be off at least through today.
