2001-2003 Bonds was the most impressive 3-year stretch by any athlete I've ever seen

I did watch it and thought it was great. It did bring back memories. Was surprised I was the first to say Bo Jackson on page four. He was the first player I ever see run an inside the park home run and I thought that was the coolest thing ever, except of course DT and 7 sacks in a game.

Barry Lamar Bonds. The guy was a base stealing beast. Also one of the best defensive left fielders of his era. Best Eye in baseball as well.

Best I ever saw in person would have to be Brett. Best I ever saw in my lifetime would be Ken Griffey Jr. I never witnessed in my lifetime someone who was so good overall and who did it cleanly in an era where juicing was the norm.

George Brett...but I loved all the Royals from 71-80's. I bought my first A.M. radio from K-mart in Grandview and I'd listen to the games as I'd go to sleep. Have pictures with many of the players but my favorite of all was Freddie Patek...more heart than anybody I ever saw before. I still tear up about that loss to the Yankees, the loss hurts but it was one of the few times that my family would actually be a family. We just sat there numb.

I was 12 years old when Junior hit the stage, and I was fortunate enough to live in the town that he played in. I got to see him so many times in person, it was amazing. He was so natural, and seeing him before and after games just ****ing around having fun was such an inspiration to me as a teenager. Definitely one of my child hood idols.

Unfortunately, Prime Pooholes and declining Pooholes are the same person, as is future useless overpaid piece of shit Pooholes. Brett was still a great hitter right up until the end.
The only person in Brett's league as a career hitter that I've seen is Chipper Jones. |
