I wasn't saying Haith was a great hire or that I totally believed in him or anything... just that I thought Cuonzo Martin was hot garbage when they were looking for a coach and still think he is hot garbage.

He hasn't recruited a player as productive as Jonathan Williams (whose 6 points and 7 boards a game are solid, if not spectacular). Hell, it's a toss up if he's even recruited a guy as productive as Ryan Rosburg.

Both guys are basically working off 2 recruiting classes. Haith has actually far outperformed Martin in that category.

If MIZZOU waits for a really awesome coach (for the recruiting power) and gives them about the richest salary ever, that might be the only move they can make to fix this. Sort of that, cancel the program!

We need to back up a Brinks truck to Gregg Marshall's front door.

Missouri is beneath him.

Gregg Marshall wasn't Gregg Marshall yet, but it's Alden's job to see that progress. He needs to be able to identify guys like Cuonzo, who, incidentally, has recruited better than the all-hat-no-cattle Haith.

When this team goes 14-18 next year, a bunch of dipshits are still going to say you can't fire a guy after four years when he's won over 80 games. Truth is, every situation is unique, and anyone who says "You'll never get anyone else in here" is completely full of shit. If you pay good money they'll come here.

If we fired Haith today, all we'd have to do is show a candidate the tape of the last two Missouri teams. Firing Haith has nothing to do with impatience and everything to do with incompetence. He's Herm Edwards without charisma. He has the ethics of Jerry Tarkanian and the coaching ability of Gerry Faust.
You moved to a… “the” football conference. As long as you do well, no pressure will be put on Alden regarding the Basketball team. You don’t even have KU for the Boosters to Hate. MU basketball has traditionally been competent with an occasional excellent team. I think being anything more that competent became far more difficult by switching to a league where Basketball is a 2nd tier sport to everyone except KY and FL.

I’m a KU homer that thinks MU leaving the Big 12 was bad for both KU and MU’s basketball program. The sort of animosity between the two programs is really hard to manufacture artificially and the intensity level in their games was always like a tournament game in basketball. Hell even in Football as poor as KU has traditionally been the record separating the two after a 100 years of playing could be counted on the fingers of one hand. Honestly I think what mu needs to do is let Haith fail another year then bring back a MU lifer that bleeds the black and gold or back up the Brinks truck for a Rent a coach wanting one more big payday before they retire to get the program turned around.

I really hope that Mizzou can get Jimmy Whitt (PG) to stay in town. He scored 29 points with 7 steals in the Class 5A state final for Hickman. Rivals has him as the #79 player in the nation.

Leaving the Bevo for a superior conference and greener pastures was a great decision. Hiring this clown was not.

His parents are friends of the Anderson family. Could be a tougher battle than you'd think.

Yup.. As long as kids would cream their jeans at the thought of playing for him, then he's the right guy. Unlike Haith who's going to be trolling under bridges to fill-out his group...

Not going to happen.

And honestly, think Gregg Marshall is probably setting his eyes higher... he won't go to anything but a traditional power.

It's going to take a good coach to turn this mess around whether you think we can get one or not. If not marshall then they have to do something.

Just talk-radio bullshit, but his name was being lobbed about for Wake Forest, which is far from a power.

If he'd listen to Wake, I'd like to think that our shit show would have a puncher's chance.
