I just don't see this as a good year teams are going to want to trade to 1. I actually think the Jags have a good chance to trade down, in teams can go there and get say Fisher if Joeckel goes 1, etc.

Alot of prospects who are somewhat bunched up.

To go from say 10 to 1 would cost quite a bit. Is Milliner worth that?
To a team with a big need, it's possible.

Dallas moved to 6 from 14 by using pick 45.

6= 1600 draft value points
14=1100
45=450

Here is a link to the draft value chart: http://www.draftcountdown.com/features/Value-Chart.php

It seems teams are still using it, even though it was developed with the old CBA in mind and its pay structure.

IIRC, the Jags don't need a LT. IMO, they'd best be staying put and drafting the best rusher available unless they though they could get him a little lower but within the top 10

Well, to be honest, to go from anywhere to one, is probably costing alot more than a 2nd rounder only. Or atleast we should be asking for that, especially if we are dropping below teams who could take the top 2 or 3 QB's.

Thats what I meant, they dont' need a LT. They need a pass rusher, which this class seems to have quite a few guys that fill what they need.

They could trade down say with the Cards who want a LT badly and still get their pass rusher, if the Cards like Joeckel and Fisher the about the same.

IMO, the Cards are going QB and will re-build their OL via FA and the later parts of the draft.

Maybe so, just using them as an example of what I was getting at.

So by the chart, if it's a team outside the top 10, it would likely take 3 picks to get up there.

That's 14 to 6.

The Redskins traded from 6 to 2 to get RG3 and gave up a 2nd round pick plus TWO future firsts.

The cost, the players available, and what Dorsey just said, seems to lower the chances of a trade down pretty low.

The draft value chart is ONLY valid for non qbs.

When a team is moving for a QB, the required points are nearly doubled most of the time.

Let me also say this...if Dorsey moves back for less than true point value, he should be beheaded for not just taking a QB...he would be doing what got Pioli in hot water...trying to prove he is the smartest man in the room instead of making the obvious choice.
