Tom Waits - Glitter and Doom - Full Concert Online
I know there are some other Waits fans around.... Thought I'd post a little treat. The website below has Tom's full Glitter and Doom concert online. It's about 2.5 hrs. This is from the Fox Theater in Atlanta, Ga., on July 5, 2008.
Click the link that says "Here the Concert". http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...oryId=92916923 "I'd rather have a free bottle in front of me than a prefrontal lobotomy." -Tom Waits |

Awesome KC, thanks for the post. I really wanted to see him in St. Louis recently but wasn't able to go. A friend and his wife drove the trip to see it and said it was awesome. They had front row seats and some decent pictures from the show to boot.

He opened with Lucinda (from Brawlers, Orphans). He played some of my top favorites though too... (The Russian Dance - as an interlude in Rain Dogs; Lucky Day from The Black Rider; Anywhere I Lay My Head from Rain Dogs; and The Day After Tomorrow from Real Gone). For most people in attendance at the Fox Theatre in St Louis, it seemed like Tom had written the soundtracks to their lives. The crowd was just crazy and emotional. Bowler hats and newsboy hats galore. This guy in front of me was half sobbing, his face buried throughout the entire show, with his eyes peeping out of his barely parted fingers. It was that ****ing beautiful. The lighting director did a fantastic job as well, throughout the entire set, Tom was the only cast member who threw a shadow, and the shadows that fell were circus-esque, gruesome and strangely elongated, somewhat like the man himself. Tom Waits's son played the drums as well. The sax player played two saxes at the same time. The guitar player is just crazy talented. All around one of the coolest concerts I've been to....

You can find a concert DVD here though: http://www.tomwaitsfan.com/forums/ I don't have time right now to find the file, but it's there somewhere if you're interested.
