Who stood out in tonight's game?

I wasn't able to watch it, but I heard about Maclin. About time we have a player that won't take any shit. How did Tyreek do? Who else stood out? Thanks.

Standouts for me..

Spencer Ware. I love Ware's vision. He always seems to find the hole. Hard runner that's always moving in the right direction.

Foles. Yes, he threw a bunch of short, high percentage passes but what I liked was the way he stood in the pocket to make throws and when he did scramble he was always looking to pass. Accuracy was sketchy at times, but overall he has to be among the best #2 QBs in the league.

Reaves. He's fast and shifty. Belongs on an NFL roster.

1st team pass protection wasn't very good, but Smith had happy feet. A bit too quick to tuck it and scramble imo. Overall the first team offense looks to have really hit their stride.

The defense did not impress. The front 7 was getting gashed against the run and the DBs weren't covering for shit. They need their stars back at OLB and the #2 CB spot is still a concern for me. March didn't do anything to make him look like a clear choice over wilson.

Consider how good the Rams DL is, I think the first team did a great job scoring those two touchdowns.

Smith went 9-12 for 137 and 7 - what else did you really need to see tonight?

Conley averaging 22 ypc - lets see about keeping that going

It was also pretty vanilla defensive play calling.

Certainly nothing to panic about. Just giving my impressions of the game.

Foles good play action and looking down field.

We don't have to worry about backup. I think he can do well.

I know its only two preseason games but I think the O is going to be pretty consistent this year and a bad match up for most opponents. I think this O will score more than were used to.
The D has regressed. The secondary was already suspect and with Houston out for a while they will be exposed more than we thought. The run D needs to tighten up as well. It will, but the secondary will likely be a weak link all year unless they can find a consistent pass rush. Good thing is the O will be able to dictate the pace of games more often than not.

True for both teams...Reid didn't call a screen while Smith was in there. Unless I missed it...

Alex Smith was super sharp most of the time.
The starting OL looked good
Reaves looks like another starting quality running back
Conley looks much improved
Chris Jones got in the backfield 2-3 times
Maclin was his normal ass kicking self

Would you trade Charles for a solid #2 corner after watching the D this pre-season so far?
