New tailgate zone at Arrowhead?

I saw the news make mention of a tailgate zone at arrowhead that will have food and drink available along with what looked like a projection tv / live entertainment.

Sounded like an attempt to monetize tailgating

news mentioned it will be open up to 4 hours before the game

so now that parking is limited, just leave all your affordable food and drink at home, come on in and spend all your money

anyone have more info on this?

Iíve never understood why they didnít open up the section between the stadiums with places to eat & drink & rides for the kids. A big Ferris Wheel there would be cool. So much wasted space when they could do a mini-P&L district right there. Another idea I heard was a meeting place with multiple big screens showing other games. The Cardinals have a great place by Busch that is nice to meet people. Itís open year round too.

The Chiefs & Royals should do this.

Writing has been on the wall for a while, same thing has happened at Wrigley. Make them think they're getting the same experience while giving us all the $$$, and make it more of a hassle for those who chose not to participate.

Sorry but absolutely NOTHING will pull me away from our tailgate. Better food. Better drinks. Good friends. No Chiefs moneygrubbing.

Well, other than the raffle that comes around.

$3 water and $5 beer isn't bad. That's a helluva lot better than inside the stadium.

For sure. But this isn't for people like us. This is for the numbnuts who can't be bothered to get up early enough to make it in to do their own tailgate before the game.

Or the kids selling beads.

This is definitely something marketed towards the rich folks, or the n00bs who haven't found their own tailgate.

Also, I thought they already did something like this in the big white tent with cheerleaders and such?
