Tell me what you think of my site & forums. It is a site that my brother and I are building for the show steer crowd. I just got it done last sunday, so not much content added.

Wait, was I supposed to look at it first?

All things told it's not bad. I would use Joomla instead of Mambo, though. Several months ago all of the Mambo developers left that project and did Joomla. Your work should just copy over.

Looks nice. I'd read up on general maintenance of a website database. MySQL or whatever it's using.
Backups, pruning old threads when you start getting more hits.

Thanks for the comments, I have heard of Joomla, did not know that it was created by the mambo developers.

I have done my best to optimize for search engines, pay per click, but it going to be a test to get people to sign up and start discussing.

I guess it will just take time and keep optimizing search engines.

When the developers left Mambo to do Joomla they took the source code as it stood, Mambo 4.2-something I believe. So, it's basically Mambo except that it's being actively patched and upgraded. Take a serious look, I don't know if Mambo ever got new developers or not.

I was able to build this one with Joomla. The options and add on's are limitless and I can even use old Mambo components and modules.
