Movies
Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

The King's Speech was excellent. There were a couple flaws but a very well crafted film with performances that should garner noms at the very least.

It did not, however, top Black Swan. I haven't seen a film that compelling all year. Had the pace of this film not been screechingly slow, it might have knocked it off. Instead, it takes the #2 spot.

I hope I can have my years top ten out at the end of the week. Granted, I haven't seen a lot of what I wanted to.

I watched Bounty Hunter. It's not a world beater, but it's fun, as long as you shut your mind off.

And good ****. Jennifer Aniston is still hot. She's north of 40 and still looks like she's 25. If she got naked in front of me, I'd probably empty my balls twice before she got her knickers off.

I also watched it thinking I had seen Steve Earle from somewhere before and looked it up to find the Wire.

I'd pass on it if I had to do it over again. I rated it 2 stars on Netflix Instant. I didn't care for it at all. As a matter of fact, after it was over I'm not sure I could care any less about Joaquin Phoenix.

pretty much my thoughts on it as well. Watching a crazy bearded man curse and holler the entire movie wasn't very great at all. It kept my attention the whole time, but I think I was wanting something to happen.

Made myself sit through "I'm Still Here" - the Joaquin Phoenix "mockumentary"...
I honestly don't think it was staged.. It was pretty pathetic either way.. unless you just want to see a drug addict Joaquin making a fool out of himself..
I asked myself, a few times during the movie, what has Phoenix done (that I've seen) that is so ****ing great and merits my attention of this garbage?

But it's on Netflix Instant Stream...
