ESPN 30 for 30 films

So, I'm the proud owner of Volume 1, which is the first fifteen movies. Just got done watching the third one. Some things I've learned...

1. Wayne Gretzky really was hockey.
2. The Baltimore Colts Band won me over. I may adopt the Ravens as my second team (but never when they play the Chiefs).
3. Donald Trump killed the USFL the day he bought a team. I never even knew about it. I think it would have had staying power.

Anyone watched all of them?

When you need a fix, go to 30 for 30 shorts online. Also terrific. My favorite is the story of Mackey Sasser, the catcher who had the yips throwing balls back to the pitcher.
Yeah, I remember searching 30 for 30 on netflix, and about 25 episodes came up. There's over 100 full length episodes in the collection, though. I guess I'm just trying to justify buying to myself, because I think it's something cool to have.

The Bad Boys episode on the Pistons is great, too. 90s Pistons I went from pure hate to grudging respect. Well chronicled.

And it's free in full

I watched it last night after work. It was pretty good. You kinda forget just how much talent that team had on it. Crazy they couldn't muster a single win in those four visits.

I just watched Trojan War the other day. Hard to believe just how ridiculously good those USC teams were.

Same here. I used to watch a lot more NBA and those NY/Indian series were mega-entertaining.

The one about the druggie kid that went to UNLV was good. Steve?

I'd say about half of these really grab me. Which is doing really good.

It's the ones that get you interested when you have no interest in that particular sport. Those are the good ones.

Hillsborough was really good as well. Not so much about soccer as how corrupt and CYA the British Police from top were.
