Chiefs' Sutton looking for defense to elevate its game

Quote:
Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Bob Sutton was asked about the play of Anthony Hitchens and Reggie Ragland on Thursday October 18, 2018, and instead of singling out the two players, said that everyone has to elevate their game.

Can't wait until I'm pulling my hair out for a good portion of the game when we are on defense. Hopefully Ford, Kpass & Speaks are able to create some pressure and get Dalton on his backside

Also, fire Bob Sutton

Hey .... they used leather helmets back in 1940. Lots of guys didn't even wear thigh pads or rubber mouth-things. That was real football back then ... real football played by real men with real mental health issues.

Let's remember that everything is cyclical. It could well be that we're seeing the wheel of time turning back on itself and ushering in an emerging new age of bad-ass. Imagine how tired offenses are going to get after a bunch of 14-play drives against us. Plus, they're going to run out of plays eventually. What will they do then?

this is like tripling down on "it's the players not the scheme." After that playoff loss it was the players not the scheme. They go out and overhaul most of the defense with younger, faster and it's even worse. So what do they do? Blame all those players too. Makes sense.

Well maybe Ragland can improve if he hasn't been practicing so far all year.

Clark has to step in and tell Andy Sutton isn't welcome back. He is loyal to a fault.
