What does your dad (and/or mom) do for a living?
My dad was an MD in a small Kansas town. My mom raised 5 kids. Sorry if this is a repost.

My Dad had several jobs. Worked for John Deer and taught vocational agriculture in Golden City for several years. We moved and he became a soil conservation agent and worked for the Soil Conservation Service and substitute taught science on the side. For a while he taught adult education classes at night. After he "retired" from SCS he drove a truck for Sysco. He drove from Springfield to KC and back to Sprigfield several nights a week for several years (7 years I think). Now he's "retired" again and is a farmer. My Dad worked his ass off most of his adult life to support 6 kids, my Mom was a stay at home Mom and worked her ass off raising 6 kids.

I couldn't fathom making that trip several times a week. Incredible.

I know. I think he was 57 at the time. He took an early retirement from SCS because they wanted to relocate him. Most of us kids were in High School and he didn't want to relocate us. He sacrificed a lot for us kids. I think I'll give him a call.
