Cheap computer combos

Looking to get a cheap DIY kit for my 12 year old since his computer is shot.

I'm looking strongly at this package
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboB...=Combo.1243268

But would like to see if any of the other computer nerds think any of this list are better

why? I have had pretty good luck with APU's for surfing and light gaming. If you want to run Ultra settings, yeah thats not gonna happen.

That should be a nice little starter for that price point. Your kid is likely going to love it.

If anything buy a decent PSU, cheap ones cause more problems and you can always use on future upgrades.

newegg. Now it will be 10 days before I get the replacement because of their stupid return policies. Plus I can't just say refund the whole thing because most of their CPUs are only exchangeable and not returnable.

I've had one experience with Newegg and won't ever order from them again. I would seriously check Microcenter...at least Topeka to Overland Park isn't that great of a drive. Anyways I ordered an LCD from them a loooong time ago and it was DOA. It took me weeks to get them to exchange/take it back. I had to threaten them to get it resolved.

I have built 20 or so computers solely ordered from Newegg. NEVER had a problem with them, and even had them give me free shit when shipping took longer than expected. Never had anything DOA though.

Help me out, buddy. I don't need you to build it, just need some input.

Should be able to play PC games that are out now on medium-high to high settings, depending on the game.

Decent deal. Should last you for several years if you like to keep up with new release games. If I sat down and put together a build I am not certain I could beat it for a value standpoint. Though, I would definitely try before I bought the thing.

You can always add a SSD later, and even another 7850 (they are already going for dirt cheap) that wille xtend the useful life of the system even farther.

That's a pretty sweet setup. Helluva deal on the video card. It's $262 to buy it by itself. Never had an MSI mobo though. But it looks OK and has decent reviews.

The return was pretty simple. Had to argue with them about the CPU because they kept saying it was only replaceable. I reasoned with them on the fact that they sent me two units and both were bad. Didn't want any of it. They finally agreed to refund everything except the $10 shipping charge for the case. I can live with that.

Probably the last time I buy a cheap combo deal from them though.
